Rodgers out?

December 16, 2010 § Leave a comment

Aaron Rodgers quarterback of the Green Bay Packers may not be able to play against the New England Patriots. If Rodgers is unable to play, that means quarterback Matt Flynn will take over. Another thing is that even with Aaron, the Packers have a small chance of winning. If Flynn plays, not that he’s bad or anything he’s just worse than Rodgers the Packers have basically no chance of winning. This can really put pressure on what will happen for the rest of Green Bay’s season. I think that Rodgers won’t play so the Patriots look like they will dominate after what we have seen the last few games. The Packers hope Rodgers can play even though he probably will not.

The New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings were supposed to play on Sunday and then since the Giants were unable to make it due to a snow storm. Things like not being able to practice since Friday might affect this 8-4 team. The game has been moved to Monday night football but then the Ravens and Texans game is also then. Since the game is on Monday nights t players who are dealing with injury like Percy Harvin and Adrian Peterson will have more time to get over it. The game change is breaking news for the Giants and Vikings game and the NFL wants to see what happens.

Pats offense Bears defense

The Patriots offense is now facing the Bears defense in the NFL. Tom Brady is still a very talented QB. He does not have speed and he’s not really supposed to either. But the way he throws to his receivers and the way the Patriots connect makes it look so easy for them. He has targets like Danny Woodhead and Wes Welker. He can find a way to get everyone involved. The Patriots also have a very well playing running back who’s name is Benjarvis-Green-Ellis. He is a very good running back. Aaron Hernandez is a good tight end. Wes Welker is a fast receiver and can catch well and once he gets the ball he becomes dangerous. Julian Edelman is just like Wes Welker but a bit worse. The Patriots offense is wonderful when quarter back Tom Brady runs it. But the Bears defense plays just as well. They would have trouble but they can stop the running game. The passing game they might be able to cause Brady’s passes to be off with the pressure and the defensive backs are not as bad either. This is going to be a very interesting and I’m looking forward to watch it.

Johnson back on track

Yesterday, Chris Johnson came back on his streak of good days. He picked up 110 rush yards and flow through the Colts defense. Even though he did what he did the Titans lost. Chris Johnson is really a good running back. The last few games he has been doing really bad but that’s because teams are watching him a lot more now and he has been facing good defenses. He has speed and he’s shown it, he is strong for a running back, and he barely fumbles. The guy can even catch good. Johnson gets covered more and as soon as the ball’s in his hands he has to do so much to get 3 yards. He had a nice day and is really getting back to where he was before, last season.

Samuel may not play

Asante Samuel has been hurt for a while and he may not play against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys have good receivers but Dez Bryant is out as well. The best replacements the Eagles have are Dimitri Patterson, Joselio Hanson, and Trevard Lindley. Samuel enjoys getting out on the field and is trying to play with his teammates and is getting healthier but he’s a game time decision. Samuel may be the best if not one of the best CB’s in the league. If the receivers get past the corners the safeties can help but I am not so sure on Nate Allen covering because he is a rookie. Quinten Mikell could but some times the Cowboys receivers can burn. When Samuel puts pressure on his knee it hurts a lot. The Eagles keep a close eye on him and hope he can play Sunday.
